| Witnessing the continuous increase in the cases of Domestic violence, Jabalpur police took a unique initiative of setting up a family counselling center. It was started on 21.06.1995, being the first of it's kind in the region. Since then, it has done extra-ordinary work in settlement of family disputes of the region. The story of it's success is best told by the statistics and records of the complaints registered and solved. |

- Issues settled by judiciary judgement- 3658 (18.2%)
- Issues where crime was found- 695 (3.5%)

| As clear from the statistics, The Family counselling center has saved almost 64% families from separating or judiciary actions, and only 81 issues i.e. 0.4% of the total complaints are still pending. This itself prove the efficiency of their work. The members of the family counselling center are none other than the responsible citizens of the city. The retired and experienced citizenz are also a part of the committee, whose valuable experience plays the key factor in saving families and persuading different parties to an agreement. |
